20th Birthday

Sunday 16 August 2015

Earlier this week (Monday infact), my twin and I celebrated our 20th birthday. 20 isn't much of a significant age, but to me it was a shock to the system, as many say everything happens when you are in your 20's. You're no longer a teenager and will slowly have start finding your own feet without the help of anyone else (parents). This is probably why I near enough break down when someone reminds me how old I am. Pretty ridiculous hey...

This year my birthday was spent with my family and my boyfriend, Liam. I don't like doing anything crazy for my birthday. Infact this year all I wanted to do was stay in bed all day and be given endless cups of tea, but that never happens when you have a Mum eager to wake everyone up.

For those who know me rather well will know the only gift I ever ask for comes in a little blue box with a glossy white ribbon. Thats right, Tiffany's. My obsession for the place began when I was kindly bought my first piece of Jewellery from Tiffany's and my boyfriend got me Breakfast at Tiffany's, since then it has not stopped. This year however, I asked my parents for money so I would be able to chose something from the online store myself, but being Brogan other things caught my eye such as clothing and of course makeup. Although, I was lucky enough to have been given my birthday presents from my boyfriend a lot earlier before my 20th. He bought me the Tiffany Notes disc charm and the 'I love you' ring. Both items I have wanted to get my hands on for such a long time but they never had in stock. I even spent valentines day this year searching Tiffany stores for the charm... Desperation at its finest.

Birthday outfit details

Ignore the hand hoovering over my behind...

Jumpsuit - Cameo Rose in New Look £19.99
Shoes - Christian Louboutin 100m Patent Pigalles £425
Bag - Chanel (gift from boyfriend)
Jewellery - Tiffanys & Chanel £180 Harrods

Lets mention those shoes. I purchased my Louboutins over 4 months ago and I have only just found the courage to actually wear them due to the red sole wearing away. Enough was enough, I needed to stop staring at them telling myself they will soon have their debut. My birthday was the day... I walked from my front door to the car and I was horrified to learn just a mere few steps had damaged them already. I was destroyed.

For makeup I went for the usual. Neutral matte shades using my new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and naturally a bright red lip using Chanel's Palpitante Rouge Allure lipstick. Whether matte or glossy theres something about the shade that oozes Hollywood glamour wearing it day or night.

The evening was spent at one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton with my family and boyfriend. It was such a sweet thing to do as we rarely go out altogether as were all usually busy or Connor (twin) and I are away at university. The most important part of the meal for me was of course the cocktails, now being identified as 'The Cosmo Queen'.

Everyone loves a classic mojito right?

Thank you once again for taking the time to have a read of my latest shenanigans!!
As always leave me suggestions for future posts.

Brogan. x
